Smiling????

What is so special about smiling??? Why do people smile?

I have nothing against smiling, i just want to know the meaning behind it and why it is so important.

When I was in Cache Elementary School, my prinicipal would call me "Smiley." I would walk down the hall and see other students and teachers smiling, but the prinicipal never called them Smiley. Why was I the only one?? What was so special about my smile that i got a special nickname???

I recently went into Mardels to pick up a few things and i was just talking to one of my former employees, he ended the conversation with this statement: "Never let anyone take away that smile of yours!" It made me start to wonder again, what is so special about my smile? This employee had seen me on some of my worst days at work and he ends the conversation with that...

As i am writing this blog, i get a message on facebook saying "We missed you and your smiling face yesterday!"

well according to dictionary.com: A smile is
1.to assume a facial expression indicating pleasure, favor, or amusement, but sometimes derision or scorn, characterized by an upturning of the corners of the mouth.
2. to regard with favor
3. to have a pleasant or agreeable appearance or aspect, as natural scenes, objects, etc.

As long as i can remember, i have gotten complimented on my smile.(I am not trying to sound selfish, but that's just what people compliment me on) Doesn't everyone have a smile?? What is so special about mine?? Yes, i had braces but a lot of people have braces.

People have told me numerous times that my smile lights up a room. Is my smile that powerful?

What is so special about my smile??? i have huge teeth. I have several cracks and dents in my teeth. i have an overbite on one side and an underbite on the other side. they are not perfect by any means. I have seen so many people with the perfect teeth and the "perfect smile."

it is kinda funny that the title of this blog is titled "God is smiling down on me," when i do something that pleases him. It makes him happy, so he smiles. I guess that is the same with everyone else and including me.

When our moods and attitudes are happy, joyful and upbeat, etc,... we smile and don't even realize that we leave good impressions on people. But when something doesn't go our way, we don't know how to be back in that joyful mood we once were in.

So you never know when your smile is going affect someone's else day. Even when you feel like you can't, always go back to what makes you happy. And yes i am preaching to myself!!!
